American in Paris

Well we're back! After an amazing trip to Paris I can easily say it is my dream city. I think I'd move there in a second...if I only spoke French. *sigh*

Everything was so clean and pretty. The shops were even more adorable than I remembered them being. My husband and I kept saying how is it that we live in NYC and the specialty food stores we have are nothing at all like what they have there. So jealous...

From the amazing architecture, to the delicious food, to the breathtaking gardens and flowers, to the phenomenal farmers market (the one in Bastille was our favorite!)...Paris is a city I hope you all get to go to at some point in your lives. 

We were so amazed at how in bloom everything was, especially for the middle to end of September. 

Okay...I could go on and on with my photos...but I'll save some for another post. :-)

Paris Has My Heart

I'm so very excited. Some of you know that my husband and I have been planning a trip to Paris for some time now. Well, this week is the week! We're heading there September 16th-24th, and I cannot wait!!!

Chris and I have both been there before. I went once 11 years ago when I was in grad school. I learned so much there, but had very little free time. Chris was there a few times when he was younger as he has family there. The last time he was there he was in high school. But we have never been to Europe together...so this is really exciting! I can't wait to enjoy the city at our own pace doing the things we both love, which includes eating French food (our favorite), drinking delicious French wine and Champagne, checking out local markets, and getting lost in some of the most amazing museums.

I'll be updating my Instagram while there...so be sure to follow along. If you have any suggestions of things to do while we're there, please let me know. So far we're going to hit up some of my favorite museums there (especially D'Orsay), take a trip out to Monet's house and gardens, and go visit my husband's relatives the one day. Any and all suggestions of your favorite things to do in Paris will be greatly appreciated.

Fall is practically here (don't mind the mid-80 temperatures coming up this week in NYC), and that has me thinking a lot about fall fashion.
