Puppy Love

Everyone that knows me knows that I love my dog Rocko more than anything in the world. He's a five year old lhasa-poo and my husband and I treat him like our little baby. Such a happy little dog, and loves making his appearances here on my blog.

This is another dress that my husband picked up for me the other day. I love it so much! So simple and easy to wear, but some pleated details, keyhole in the back, and fun print adds a little something extra to make this dress that much more fabulous. Isn't the dog print so fun? Reminds me of my little Rocko.  :-)

Rocko and I spent the majority of the day inside today. The weather here in NYC has been so gross...like it looks like it is going to rain, but nothing happens. So today consisted of a lot of puppy cuddles on the sofa. Not that I'm complaining!

How was your Monday? Any fun plans for the rest of the week?

Seeing Spots...

It's been practically a week since I had been struck down with the flu. Right now I'm feeling pretty good so I thought an outfit post was needed. Now that I realize it, this is going to be my first outfit post in 2013...and actually my first one since we moved back to NYC. Gosh I'm so behind!

The other day my husband surprised me with some adorable dresses from Urban Outfitters. This polka dot dress total won over my heart! There is something very retro about it that I just adore. Kind of 1940's-ish? Don't you think?

In other news...I'm thinking of getting a new hairstyle. I'm SO SICK OF MY HAIR!!! Anyone have any ideas? I need a change...pronto! What are your thoughts???

Okay I don't know what is going on in this last photo...but it cracks me up. Maybe my fever is back? Haha.

The Flu Got Me

Hey everyone! I feel like it has been ages since my last post. On Monday I woke up with a very scratchy throat and felt like I was losing my voice. My husband told me to drink some orange juice and that it would go away. Well, he was wrong. Later that evening I was curled up in a ball with a high fever, shaking with chills, and aches all over my body. I knew it was the flu!

I haven't had the flu in over eight years...and I honestly forgot just how terrible it really can be. Finally on Thursday I went to the doctor. Yep, they confirmed it...TYPE A FLU. So I was then given a prescription for Tamiflu (even though it was a little late to take it the doctor wanted me on it because of my heart condition). When I went to CVS to fill the prescription they told me I got the very last Tamiflu that they had.

I am sooooooooooo happy to say that I finally am feeling almost back to normal. Thank goodness!!! I know the flu is quite an epidemic this year and I really hope none of you are dealing with it. I have a huge phobia of needles...but I think next year I will definitely be first in line to get a flu shot. I don't want the flu any time soon.
