Yesterday afternoon we celebrated the Oscars the best way I knew how...with yummy hors d'oeuvres, champagne cocktails, cute outfits, fabulous friends, and prizes!

I'm so obsessed with these flower poofs. They took me a good hour and a half to put together...and I think I'll let them up for a while. Maybe I'll let them up until they call down....because they are too cute!

My husband and I worked extra hard to make a ton of yummy food (this isn't even all of it).

Now I'm not sure if this is the exact same dress, because I got mine about a year and a half ago. The gold one on their website just doesn't look as metallic as mine. But maybe it's just the photo.

One of my favorite times of year is almost here...the red carpet at the Oscars! In the past years when award shows have had their red carpets I have celebrated in a number of ways with my readers, from Twitter chats to Google Hangouts. This year I wanted to step up my game a little and host a fun cocktail party during the red carpet. Yummy champagne cocktails, delicious hors d'oeuvres, and adorable outfits...this is how I like to ring in the red carpet! It's going to be a good time.
