Holiday Kits from Hard Candy

I know it is crazy to ask, but have you starting thinking about gifts for the holidays yet? I was watching a morning show today and they were talking about Christmas gifts...even though Halloween hasn't even arrived yet! Part of me wanted to scream at the guy on television. I mean why are we rushing things?!?! But then the practical part of me realized it is almost November...and I personally like to have all of my holiday shopping done by early December if I can. So with that said I figured that maybe now really is the right time to slowly start bringing out some great gift options for my readers.

The other week my friends at Hard Candy sent over some of their new holiday lip kits. Three things I love about these:

1) The colors are so great for everyone. No matter if you love a gloss or a lip stain crayon, the colors go on rather light...but you can layer them up. From nude shades to pinks...there is a hue for everyone!

2) The packaging couldn't be more adorable. I especially love these tins shown above. Aren't they just adorable? They are so pretty you'll want to keep them around well after you finish up the lip products.

3) They are super affordable. For just a few bucks you'll have that perfect little stocking stuffer. Buy a few of these to keep on hand for those unexpected holiday guests that stop by, and it won't break the bank. They are also perfect for the tween or teen in your life (who can be so difficult to shop for).

Golden Girl in Greenpoint

Wandering around Brooklyn on a beautiful fall day is definitely my idea of perfection. Today we walked north through Greenpoint and made a pit stop at Transmitter Park where we soaked up the beautiful view of the city and snapped these photos.

So I'm kind of in love with these pants. Yeah they are called skinny jeans...but these definitely don't feel like denim. More like a comfy black pant with some stretch to them. LOVE! I picked these up on sale at L&T this past week for only $39.99 in the store. Score!

Another thing I absolutely love about this look is the kimono I'm wearing. My husband hates it. He says I look like one of the Golden Girls. Uh...like that is a bad thing??? In my mind there is never enough Blanche, Dorothy, Rose, and Sophia in this world, so I'll take that as a compliment....thank you very much.

Fall Trends and New Friends

Today I met up with Nicole from Darling In Dots for brunch at one of my favorite Williamsburg spots, Allswell. We chatted about dogs, our love for tights, and our trips to Paris.

By the looks of these photos you would have thought we compared notes when we pulled our outfits. Both in sheer patterned tights, both wearing bow details, and both in similar prints. Hey, great minds think alike...right?

LOVE IT!

Fall is here and the two of us are definitely ready. We're all about wearing feminine details and printed tights. Funny story, I actually went to H&M to pick up the spotted tights she is wearing and they didn't have them. I think I have to pick them up online. Aren't they just too cute for words?

I absolutely love meeting other bloggers and simply don't do this enough. Here's to many more collaborations!
