Look of the Day- Aztec Summer

Currently in NYC we are in the middle of a serious heatwave, as is much of the country. I actually heard on the news this morning that if the heatwave continues as planned for the week it will be the hottest week in NYC in ten years! Yikes!

When I think of summer I instantly think of pretty sundresses, bright colors, and bold prints! If you can't beat the heat you might as well be comfortable while looking very cool. Tribal prints are always a hit! Check out this adorable look I put together for a hot day like today.

Cooking Channel Fashionistas

I'm not going to lie, I watch more television than I should. The crazy thing is that I'd say about 50% of my television viewing is of food shows...especially on the Cooking Channel. My husband and I love to cook...and better yet, we love to eat. Even though I typically watch these shows for the recipes and the fun personalities of the hosts, I often watch it for the style. The added bonus of fabulous hair, perfect makeup, and a drool worthy wardrobe makes me love these following ladies even more!

Debi Mazar of Extra Virgin- her style is all about the drama, vintage dresses (that she cooks complicated Italian meals in), and glamorous hair.

Nadia G. of Bitchin' Kitchen- her style is a little bit rock and roll, very edgy, a little bit crazy (in a good way), and with a shoe collection that is out of this world.

Alie Ward and Georgia Hardstark of Tripping Out with Alie & Georgia- these ladies are quirky, classy, and full of pizzazz!

What do you think about mixing fashion and food? As someone that is obsessed with everything visual, I definitely think this works. If these ladies were doing the same shows but were wearing boring jeans and a tee shirt (or worse, something frumpy), their programs just wouldn't be the same.
