Even though we had snow (!!!) earlier this week, I think it is safe to say that spring is officially here...to stay! The trees in my neighborhood are all blossoming...as are my allergies. But I just pop some Allegra and the blooming flowers appear beautiful once again. 

When I think of springtime I don't typically think of pastels. I hardly ever wear them. I love the bright and bold colors, short dresses, and flowing fabrics. Isn't this above outfit too cute for words?!?! I want to wear that outfit now. It's so perfect for a day like today.

All Signs Point To Greenpoint

This morning my husband, dog, and I took a lovely walk through Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We've been living in northern Williamsburg since December, and have yet to wander through Greenpoint's charming neighborhood. For those of you that don't know the area that I live in...Greenpoint is literally a couple of blocks north from me. Seems like every weekend when we go for a stroll we always go south...or east...but never north. I'm so glad we did. We stumbled on so many spots that have us saying: "Greenpoint, we'll see ya next weekend too!!!"


I'm so happy that the warmer weather is here! This weekend feels almost like summer. I couldn't wait to wear this new dress I just got at Express a couple of weeks ago. It's so light and flowy...and it has the most adorable keyhole detail. For those of you that love it as much as I do, guess what? It's currently on sale! 

P.S. I only kept this photo in the bunch because Rocko looked so cute. Please don't mind my face.


Tips 'n Tricks

You can never have too many beauty tips and tricks up your sleeve...am I right? I thought it would be fun to share my favorite tricks with you all. They are all very simple...but they definitely do come in handy. So, here goes---


Best product for keeping your hair free of flyaways: DRYER SHEETS. If your hair is a little out of control, just take a dryer sheet and rub it through your hair. Use the scent free kind if you don't want your hair to smell like laundry (not like that is a bad thing).

Best way to keep your old clothing looking new: DISPOSABLE RAZORS. When your clothing starts to pill all you have to do is shave it! Seriously. This really works. Your clothing will be good as new. Just make sure you use a razor without any gel strips on it (duh!).

Best eye makeup remover: VASELINE. Just a little dab will go a long way. Sometimes I think this actually works better than makeup remover wipes.

Best lip gloss: VASELINE. I use this all the time. It makes your lips super shiny, and stays on for a very long time. No other gloss compares. Sometimes if I want a little color added I will crush up some eyeshadow and add it to the Vaseline.
