Trench Coat For Springtime

I recently got this trench coat and I’m obsessed with it! It’s the perfect weight for spring and a great length. Dressy enough to wear to work and yet casual enough to wear on the weekend with jeans. Looking to get a lot of wear out of this coat this spring and fall.

I want to know, what are your go to jackets for the spring? Do you love a trench coat…are denim jackets more your speed…or are you all about an edgy leather jacket? Please tell me your picks in the comment section below.

If you look NOW the trench coat I’m wearing here is already marked 40% off and you will get another 20% off at checkout.

A Little Leopard Makes Everything Better

To me there is something about a leopard coat that just makes any outfit look complete.

coat- Cupcakes & Cashmere, turtleneck- H&M, skirt- LOFT, tights- LOFT, shoes- Sam Edelman

No matter if I’m going to work, have a date night out with my husband, or am just running around the neighborhood in jeans…this faux fur leopard coat makes everything look chic.

Not to be overshadowed by my coat, these Sam Edelman Lug Sole Loafers are one of my favorite pairs of shoes that I own. Super comfortable and now wayyyyy on sale they are definitely worth the purchase! I feel like they go with just about everything. Also, they remind me of the shoes Elaine used to wear on Seinfeld which just makes me so happy.

I want to know what are your favorite go to items in your wardrobe???

NYC Belongs To Me

Happy 4th of July everyone! No, you won't see me in red, white, and blue in this post...no, you won't see any fireworks...and no, you won't see me prancing around on the beach. I honestly don't like any of those things. But, one thing I love about a long holiday weekend is staying in town when everyone else is away.

While everyone else goes to the NJ shore, the Hamptons, or home to visit family I find it so very enjoyable to just stay in NYC and soak up the quiet. It is the perfect opportunity to get into a restaurant or bar that you have been dying to check out but is normally too crowded to get your foot in the door, or even soak up some culture at a play or museum (which trust me will be less crowded!).

My husband and I have made a list of all the places you need to check out when in NYC on a long holiday week. Just do yourself a favor and check to see if they are open on the actual holiday (many places aren't, so schedule your long weekend accordingly).

Diane says:

For brunch- Rabbithole or 12 Chairs

For dinner- Room Service or Kings County Imperial

For culture- Any Broadway show or MoMA

For drinks- The Commodore (their pina coladas are what dreams are made of!)

For a great view- The Highline or the rooftop of the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Chris says:

For brunch- Cafe Mogador or Sunday in Brooklyn

For dinner- Rosie's

For culture- Brooklyn Museum or The American Museum of Natural History

For drinks- Night of Joy

For a great view- William Vale Park or East River State Park
