Let's Be Real

If anything has come from IG-gate (yes, that’s what I’ll call it), is that going forward I want to be completely honest with my readers and keep it real. So often with blogging we get caught up behind smoke and mirrors and feel the pressure to keep things looking amazing to entertain and inspire our readers. But I’m not perfect, and neither is life. This is me, being me. Comfortable, at home…casual, and frizzy hair.

I feel like me losing 8 years of work and all my contacts on my Instagram platform and having to start again from scratch makes me feel stripped down and vulnerable. But I think I’m going to just go with the flow. For someone like myself taking things day by day and being easy going doesn’t come easy.

I like to plan. I like to be a step ahead. Most of my friends would not ever describe me as spontaneous. But I think maybe this all happened for a reason and I need to just embrace it and I hope you all come along for the ride.

I hope you all stay with me, and let me know what you want to see from the new and improved Snapshot Fashion and my very newly created snapshotfashionNYC Instagram account. Help be a part of the creative process! Leave me some comments or DM me. I’d love to hear from you.

Snapshot Fashion NEWS

What an unbelievable frustrating last 12 hours…

Last night while trying to delete an old account on my Instagram I accidentally deleted Snapshot Fashion from IG. Eight years down the drain! I know you’re saying how did you do that? How is that possible? I wish I had a simple and clear cut answer. I honestly have no idea what happened. I was logged in to another account…the account I was trying to delete. I’m 100% POSITIVE I was logged into that. I hit delete and Snapshot Fashion was gone. It all happened that fast. I cannot get the account back. I cannot get my contacts back. I cannot even keep my same account name.

You can now find me at snapshotfashionNYC. Please make this update and follow along. Also, don’t be so quick to delete IG’s…you never know what will happen and I would hate for anyone to deal with this.

Please learn from my mistake.

Favorite Ballet Flats

With as much walking as I do here in NYC, you know that I’m always looking for comfortable flats. I want something that is not going to fall apart right away, flats that don’t give me blisters, and nothing too expensive. Check out this great find that hits all of my requirements!

I just got the most cozy flats from J.Crew Factory. These Lizzie Leather Ballet Flats come in three colors: black ($31.50), almond ($31.50), and dark poppy ($69.99). I initially was looking at them because I wanted the dark poppy shade…but they didn’t have my size. So I picked up a pair of both the black and the almond. Pro tip, order a half a size up.

Getting Comfy

I don’t know about all of you, but I have been wearing the same few items in my closet for the last three weeks or so. Loose-fitting, elastic waistbands, soft cotton, lots of stretch. Since we’ll probably still be in lock down for the next couple months my eye has been looking for some more comfy clothing that I can wear. Here are some of my top picks…

I hope all of you are well and safe through this crazy time. I’m going to really try to keep posting regularly to help distract and entertain you all while we get through this!
