Best & Worst Dressed of the SAG Awards

Last evening was the SAG Awards. Were you watching? I have to admit, overall the looks on the red carpet were really fantastic. I thought that the majority of celebrities stepped it up from the Golden Globes a few weeks ago. At the Golden Globes it seemed as though everyone was either in nude or black...and at last night's SAG Awards a lot more color was worn which made me smile.

BEST DRESSED

Michelle Williams looked so lovely in red. Simple yet totally chic. She was my favorite of the evening.

Emily Blunt's dress was a show stopper. On TV it looked more lime in color than it does here in this photo. I love it either way.

Diane Lane was a dream in this blue one shoulder number. She kept her hair up in a simple ponytail. Supposedly it was rather warm in LA yesterday...so being comfortable was key!

WORST DRESSED

Amber Heard (who I'm still not sure who she is...but here she looks so much like Scarlett Johansson) looks like she ran into Edward Scissorhands on the way to the red carpet. I'm fine with cut-outs...but this was just too much. Can we say overkill?

Rose Byrne...where do I begin? Let me start out with a compliment: I love her hair! Now, on to the jumpsuit. When they were initially interviewing her they just showed the top portion of her outfit and I thought she looked really cute...and then they scrolled down. It's like she raided Elvis's closet.

I really hate it when bad fashion happens to good people. Kristen Wiig...what the heck are you wearing? The color and style of the dress aren't terrible. I do wish that the waist was higher and not dropped like this. It just makes her look dumpy. My biggest issue (what makes her my worst dressed of the night) is that she is wearing a halter and a big ugly choker. Kristen, take note: you do not wear a fat choker (or really any necklace like that) with a halter style dress. NEVER.

Who made your best and worst dressed lists of the SAG Awards? Do you agree with my list?

Who were you favorites and least favorites from last night???

After many technical difficulties with stupid Google+ I was able to have a lovely video chat with Elissa from San Francisco. I know there were a few other people that wanted in to the hangout and had issues signing in. However, I think I understand Google+ hangouts now...that was the first time I ever used it. So I apologize if you were unable to join. The good news is that I will be doing another red carpet hangout...this time, FOR THE OSCARS! So mark Sunday, February 26th on your calendar...and I will be bringing more details your way shortly!!!

The Golden Globes

I'm sure many of you know that the Golden Globes were last night. Despite some unfortunate weather, I'd say that the evening was a success. There were only a few dresses that I really couldn't stand. Most of Hollywood really looked fabulous last night. And didn't you just love Ricky Gervais? HILARIOUS!

After the jump you will find what I thought were the best and the worst dresses of the night.

Let's start with my favorite looks of the night---

Emily Blunt looked so amazing last night. This dress was so dreamy. Loved the color on her.

Diane Kruger looked so lovely in pink. Personally, pink is my favorite color...so this dress really spoke to me.

Amy Poehler looked so great in red! Who says wearing red on the red carpet is a bad idea?

Oh Maggie Gyllenhaal! You looked amazing! I love the color and detailing on this dress. So pretty!

Sandra Bullock could not have looked better. The bright purple looked so lovely on her skin tone. And I really liked her hair.

Now let's move on to the looks that I did not like---

Chloë Sevigny, where do I begin? I mean all the ruffles...ugh! To me the dress just looked like something an older woman would wear. It looked like it came our of the closet of one of the Golden Girls. My guess would be Dorothy.

I *hated* this look on January Jones. The big ruffled shoulder and the odd cutouts on the back of the dress. And the headband! All over WRONG!

This dress looked like a big spider web on Jayma Mays. Spiders scare me.

I guess I really shouldn't expect anything else from Mariah Carey. Hair in a pony tail...dress is low cut and tight. Go figure? I really just wish she would start dressing for her age/weight.

I love Sofia Vergara in Modern Family. That show has to be one of my new favorites. But this dress...it's awful! It looks like she just wrapped her sheets around her to make a dress. Just blah!

So those were my favorite and least favorite dresses of the night. I want to know who you loved and hated!
