Bob Mackie Party at Screaming Mimi's

So I've been meaning to share these photos with all of you for some time now. With the new job and being super swamped on the weekends I just haven't had a second to post them yet. I'm not sure if I told you all that I had the amazing opportunity to be the official photographer at the Bob Mackie party that was being thrown at Screaming Mimi's in NYC.

If you haven't had a chance to enter to win this amazing Bob Mackie gown, be sure to enter.

Yes...that is a rabbit on a leash. Only in New York!

A super huge thank you needs to go out to Sammy Davis, the entire Bob Mackie team, and Screaming Mimi's for including me in such a fun and fabulous event! If you want to see more coverage from the event be sure to check out Diane Dulgerian Photography, Diane Dulgerian Photography's Facebook page, Sammy Davis Vintage, and Bob Mackie's blog.

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

I'm not really a beach girl, I don't care for boats, and I hate what being by the water does to my hair. But on this particular morning it was in the low 70s, the sun was shining, and there was a refreshing breeze...making me very happy! Oh yeah, and I was wearing polka-dots! An instant mood booster!

I've been on boats a few times in my life...and I swear I always get sick (or almost sick) on them. Even those sea sickness bracelets don't work for me. I'll stick with wearing bangles, thank you very much. What sucks is my husband is obsessed with boats. Probably because he grew up on Long Island. I think for now I'll just look at boats from a distance. Which is exactly why I'm staying on dry land in these photos.

I recently saw a story on New York Live about meals with on boats around NYC. Don't these sea adventures look like a blast? I think I need to grow some sea legs...as soon as possible because I think it might be fun! Right?

Hope you all are having a great week! xoxo

Summer Nights

Over the weekend we headed out to Orient, NY to my in-law's beach house because two of my husband's cousins were celebrating their birthdays. We haven't been out to Orient in over a year and this was the first time I got to celebrate Matthew and Alex's birthday's with them (even though I've been with my husband for eight and a half years).

The weather was quite lovely there this weekend. Saturday night was warm and the sunset was gorgeous! I only noticed the amazing colors when the sun was almost down. So I ran upstairs and told my husband to take some photos of me on their balcony.

I'm absolutely obsessed with this dress from H&M. I wear it way too often. I love how the panel style is figure flattering, and who doesn't love the cut out feature?!?! Oh yeah, it also kind of looks like a scuba suit...haha! It's definitely a little out of my comfort zone...but fashion is all about trying new things. Don't you agree?

What piece do you have in your closet that you have bought in order to try to step out of your comfort zone?

So I have a question for you all. Do you hate little baby hairs as much as I do? I'm thinking of getting bangs again. I know, I know...I just grew them out. But, all of these little baby hairs on my hairline are driving me crazy! I don't think I can take it much longer. I'm looking at these photos and that is all I can focus on. UGH!

What do you think: should I get bangs again?
