Super Casual

You know me, I always prefer a dress to jeans…all the time. But, maybe that’s because I always have such a hard time finding jeans that fit me well.

The other week I picked up two pairs of jeans from J.Crew…both were way on sale too! What I also love about them is that they are slightly cropped with is great for the warmer months but I think also look adorable with a pair of booties.

I love the slightly higher waist, distressed appearance, and added stretch in them. Who needs dresses when you can have your super comfortable look in a pair of these?

I’d love to hear, what is your go to denim?

United We March

Yesterday was crazy. In the morning I thought I was going to just have a quiet afternoon at home with no real plans. A friend of mine made a decision yesterday morning to attend the Women's March in NYC. I went back and forth with the idea of joining her all morning...should I attend (I wanted to!)...but my anxiety about mass crowds can be kind of overwhelming. Yes, I may live in NYC...but crowds of 400,000 (!) are a whole new ballgame. So, at 12:10pm I made the decision to join her. I had 50 minute to make a sign and get to midtown with her. Ahhh...the pressure was on!

I have to say, my last minute decision to join her was one of the best I ever made. We joined the old and young, men and women, and people of every race and ethnicity all in solidarity expressing how important women's rights are. Everyone was so insanely polite, smiles were seen, and laughter among strangers was heard. It was such an amazing experience that I am so proud to say I was a part of. It was a historic day that not only made me proud to be a New Yorker, but proud to be an American.

Be sure to stop by my social media (Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat (follow me: snapshotfashion) to see about my adventures yesterday.

Did you march yesterday? I would love to hear your stories!

France Forever In My Heart

Fall is definitely in the air, which means I get to wear jackets again on these chilly mornings! Yay! I seriously couldn't be happier. Now if it would just stay in the 60's all year long...

I have been searching high and low for the perfect army green utility jacket and I randomly came across it at Crossroads Trading Co. You know I love a good deal...so you know I was jumping for joy when I snagged this jacket for only $13.50! The most exciting thing is that it is still on Target's website (for $39.99) so you can get it too!

I stopped by the opening launch party for the new Birdcage Shop at Lord & Taylor earlier this week. This French inspired shop was absolutely adorable and left me longing for another trip back to Paris. French chocolates, berets, and cute clothing with French sayings on them were everywhere. You know I love everything French...the food, the art, the fashion. I can't believe that at this time a year ago we were in Paris. How time flies!

I was really excited to see that the fabulous customizing company Bow & Drape were a part of it. I found this super cute bandana that I customized with a cute beaded heart. Don't you love it?

My pup Rocko wanted to show off his fun scarf too! Matching his mommy in red and stripes! Isn't he so handsome???

I'd love to know, what are your favorite trends for fall???

Pink Camels

Happy Fourth of July to all my fellow Americans! I'm being a bit of a rebel and going away from the typical red, white, and blue look and wearing some pink camels today. Does that make me any less patriotic? You be the judge of that.

I just had a fantastic four day weekend! I wandered around one of my favorite areas of Brooklyn, watched lots of soccer, hung out with friends, brought Rocko to the new dog park in the neighborhood a few times, and ate the best fried chicken I have ever had (my husband agrees too!). All in all I can't complain!

Tonight I'll probably watch the Macy's fireworks from my apartment window. I'm going to stay home and give Rocko extra cuddles as fireworks scare him a ton. Poor guy!

I hope you all had a great holiday weekend!
